Gossamer Skies Album Cover
For the psychedelic rock band Gossamer Skies, the visual identity for their album "The Architect" was meticulously crafted to encapsulate the themes of cosmic exploration and mystical architecture expressed through their music. The project involved creating an illustrative painterly composite image in Photoshop. The design features a large hand manipulating celestial orbs set against a surreal, nebulous backdrop. This design set out to resonate with the band's exploration of profound, otherworldly themes in their music. The main objective was to provide a cohesive aesthetic that extends from the album cover to a diverse range of merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, and enamel pins.. The design has been adapted to fit various shirt styles, appealing to a wide audience of fans. The tote bags carry a full print of the album artwork, transforming an ordinary item into a functional piece of art, blending utility with the band's distinctive psychedelic aesthetic. Additionally, the enamel pins offer a more subtle but equally impactful option, featuring the golden circle and a simplified version of the celestial orbs, allowing fans to carry a piece of the band's ethos with them in a compact, collectible format. This comprehensive approach to the album and merchandise design not only promotes the album "The Architect" but also serves to deepen the connection between Gossamer Skies and their fans.
